Character Customization
Adorable Garden has a simple and slick character customization feature. You can choose your character’s and your in-game partner’s look by selecting face, hairstyle, skin and hair color. I particularly loved the face options—they’re designed like cute emoticons, giving the characters a fun, cartoonish charm.

Tap the ivory die button to choose a random look for your characters if you are in a hurry. Personally, I enjoy taking the time to customize my characters—it’s one of my favorite parts of playing cozy games.
After customizing your characters, tap on the Confirm button to begin playing.
Building Your Cozy Home
Now that you have created a sweet couple who have just moved into their own cozy home. Help them by choosing a room. When I started, I had two options – A bedroom, which was my naughty in-game partner’s choice (wink) and a cozy den by my character. I chose the latter as I like couches, bean bags and a bookshelf.

Once you have selected a room to build, you will have to place furniture and decor items, tailored specifically to the room type you have selected. For example, when I picked a cozy den, I was shown only those items that suited that warm, inviting theme.
There are two item categories – Essential and Bonus. Focus on Essentials. Your goal is to purchase and place all essential items in your room to finish building it.

Essential items cost in-game cash, whereas bonus items can be obtained either by watching Ads or spending gems.
Growing Plants in Your Own Nursery
The fun part starts now. To earn more cash for purchasing the essentials and building your room, you will need to grow your own nursery. That’s where Adorable Garden shines. It not only lets you customize your rooms but has a nice idle game that lets you grow plants in a nursery, hire gardeners and choose upgrades for growing them.

Tap the cute bear icon on the bottom-left corner of the screen to visit the nursery.
Your nursery consists of floors and there will be an empty space on each floor. Place plants on an empty space – Tap on it and use gold to unlock it.

As soon as you start placing plants, your character and their in-game partner will move upstairs, pluck the flowers from the plants and carry them downstairs to give Mama Bear. This cute bear trades coins in exchange for the flowers. She drops coins whenever she gets the flowers. Tap on the coins to collect them.
How to Earn Cash for Purchasing Items
You may wonder how to earn cash for building rooms? Let’s find out how:
Complete Quests shown at the top of the screen while you’re in the nursery. Quests often involve upgrading a specific plant or earning a set amount of gold. Keep an eye on the quest bar – once it fills up, the quest is completed, and you will receive a cash reward. A new quest will then appear in its place.

Example: My very first quest was to upgrade the sunflower plant to level 10. Tap the sunflower plant and use the same gold earned from mama bear to upgrade it. When you tap on a plant, you will see its current level, star level, the gold it earns, and the time (in seconds) required to harvest flowers. Keep upgrading any plant to increase the amount of gold it produces over time.
Keep an eye on quests on the top of the screen. When you complete a quest, you earn cash. The same cash can be used to purchase furniture and decor items from the Essential segment of your room.
To go back to your cozy home, tap the house icon on the bottom-left corner of the nursery. Use the cash to purchase items and it will be displayed in the room.
Here are some tasks that will appear from time to time on the nursery:
1. Collect gold x number of times: Tap on the gold dropped by Mama bear to collect them.
2. Upgrade a certain plant to a particular level – Level up a plant to the target level mentioned in the task. So, if the quest mentions that you need to upgrade Lavender to level 15, your focus should only be on that plant if you want to complete the quest.
3. Collect an X amount of gold.
4. Upgrade to a certain total level: This means you are free to upgrade any plants in the nursery, and all upgrades count toward the total mentioned in the task. For example, if the task requires you to upgrade to level 25 total, you simply need to upgrade plants a combined total of 25 times – regardless of which plants you choose.
Nursery Core Upgrades
Noticed the hammer icon in the bottom-right corner of the nursery? Well, these are core upgrades that can help you manage your nursery more efficiently. Upgrade costs gold, so whether you want your sunflowers to be harvested faster to earn 2x more gold from the flowers given to mama bear, you will have shell out gold for these core upgrades.

Did you know: The purchased core upgrades also add cool furniture and decor to each floor in the nursery.
Here are some more core upgrades to look out for:
- Plant profit x2, x5, x10 and more
- Plants harvested faster
- +1 extra gardener
- Increase in gold capacity: Mama bear stores more gold.
How to Unlock New Floors
Renovating the nursery unlocks a new stage, each of which adds additional floors. More floors mean you can grow a wider variety of plant species. The more plants you harvest, the more gold Mama Bear will reward you with.
To renovate the nursery and add new floors to it, you need to complete all the quests available in the current stage. Each stage has a specific number of quests, represented by dashes above the quest box. These dashes help you track your progress. For example, in the first stage, you’ll see three dashes—this means you must complete three quests to renovate and unlock a new stage with more floors and plant species.
In the screenshot below, there are 7 dashes on the quest box. A dash represents a quest. You will get to renovate your nursery only after completing seven quests. Every time you complete a quest, a dash gets empty.

When you complete all quests in in a particular stage, a new “Renovate” button appears on the top of the screen. Tap on it to earn gems or other items as completion rewards.

A floor map screen will be shown to you. Tap in the “Renovate” button to move to the next floor.

Tap on the map pin icon on the top-left corner of the screen in your nursery. You can see new floors and a new plant species on each floor. You start with only one floor, but as you progress, you can renovate your nursery to unlock additional floors. Once you reach max floors in the nursery, you will move to a new location.
Choose Gardeners with Special Perks
Gardeners show up early in the game, adding excitement right from the start! They help speed up flower harvesting and deliver them to Mama Bear. The more gardeners you have, the faster you will earn gold.
After renovating and unlocking new floors in your nursery, you need to grow a new plant species in every floor. Tap on the empty space in a floor to grow a new plant. Every time you grow a new plant, you get to choose a gardener.

From the two choices, always choose the gardener on the right, as they come with special perks. Watch an Ad to hire them. The ones with zero perks can be obtained without watching an advert, but they offer no additional benefits, such as move speed. Fast moving gardeners lend a helpful hand to your characters, speeding up delivering flowers to Mama bear.
Earn Hearts to Raise your Love Level
You earn hearts every time you purchase a furniture item for your cozy rooms. Keep an eye on the heart bar located on the upper left corner of the screen.

When the heart bar fills up, you raise you love level, unlocking permanent perks such as increase in gold profits, chances of investor dropping gems along with coins, higher chances of a plant for dropping bonus gold etc.

The higher the cost of an item, the more hearts you will obtain when you purchase it. so keep that in mind if you are keen on raising your love level quickly.
Double Profits!
For the idle game like Adorable Garden, your sole objective is to complete quests. This usually involves upgrading plants in each floor. To upgrade plants, you will need gold, and the best way to earn gold fast is to increase profits by x2. Tap the yellow button on the bottom of the screen, watch an advert and double your profits for +5 minutes.
Outfit Bonuses
Costumes will be unlocked once you reach the third stage of your nursery renovation. Mama bear will give you a gift box once you renovate the current stage. The gift box contains costume and accessory shards.

Once you obtain a gift box, tap on the cardboard box icon on the lower left corner of the screen to open the gift boxes. You will get outfit shards.

Tap on the outfit button on the bottom of the screen. It’s next to the house icon.

Tap on the tabs that have red dots on them. Now tap on the outfit with a red dot on it. It is ready to be crafted from the shards obtained from mama bear’s gift boxes.

Tap the unlock button in the outfit window to activate an outfit’s perk. Once unlocked, the perk stays active even if the outfit isn’t worn. To equip an outfit, tap on the character boxes below the outfit window.
Get Tons of Gold from the Investor
The Investor, a stylish bear, occasionally shows up near Mama Bear. Tap on him, then hit the “Watch Ad” button to earn a large amount of gold instantly.

While watching ads is optional, the Investor can be especially useful when you’re short on gold for a plant upgrade or close to finishing a quest.
Earn Profits Passively While Offline
As an idle game, Adorable Garden lets your profits run even when you are not playing! Once you come back to play, the game displays offline revenue, which can be doubled by watching an advert. However, offline revenue is capped at 3 hours, so if you are away for longer, any additional profits won’t be saved.
