Tales of Seikyu Guide: Shrine Locations and Fast Travel

In Tales of Seikyu, you can unlock fast travel by restoring Fox Shrines. This guide shows you where to find every Fox Shrine location and explains how to fast travel between them using the map.

Restoring the First Fox Shrine

After unlocking basic combat and completing your first quest, “Talk to Town Residents”, speak with Mayor Yui Oda and follow her to your new house. Along the way, stop at the first Fox Shrine to pay your respects to your ancestors. The shrine is located near the far end of the bridge.

Move close to the shrine and follow the on-screen prompt to Pay Respects. This way, you have restored Seikyu’s first shrine.

Speak with your fox ancestor. He explains that foxes can transform into many different Yokai forms. When your character attempts to transform for the first time, she unexpectedly turns into a wild boar instead of a fox. The wild boar is your first Yokai form. You will unlock more forms through the progression of the storyline.

Don’t be disappointed, though. The wild boar form is also incredibly useful. Boars excel at smashing obstacles and sprinting across the landscape, and they’re also great for charging into enemies, especially the mischievous Tanuki you will meet throughout your adventure. Press F (Keyboard) or LT to change form.

Paying Respects to a Fox Shrine allows you to teleport to that shrine. Open the map and move the cursor over the shrine. Press the teleport button to fast travel.

Shrine Up!

You will find the second Fox shrine right next to your farmhouse. Pay respects at the shrine to restore it and unlock the second teleportation point. You can now fast-travel between two fox shrines – the shrine near the bridge and the one next to your house.

Open your map, move the cursor to a shrine, and press the teleport button to fast travel.

After paying your respects at the shrine, your fox ancestor tells you about another shrine located near the Fox Ruins.

Discovering the second shrine unlocks a new main quest – Shrine Up! In this quest, you will have to search for other fox shrines hidden throughout Seikyu. For now, I believe there’s only one additional shrine near the Fox Ruins. However, you may discover a few more shrines as you progress through the game.

Open your map to know the location of the fox ruins (see the above screenshot). First, teleport to the shrine near your house (purple pin in the screenshot) if you are far away from this location. Fox ruins are located northeast of your house, as marked by the red pin on the map in the above screenshot. There you will find the third fox shrine. Pay your respects at the shrine to restore it and unlock another teleportation point.

After paying your respects at the third shrine, you will complete the Shrine Up quest.

You now have three teleportation points. You can fast travel between these three shrines while exploring. See the screenshot below:
