15 Cutest Cozy Games Coming in 2025
Last year brought us some of the best cozy games, such as Fields of Mistria, Everholm and Tiny Glade. I had a great time playing my favorites and I am looking forward to more games this year.
From life/management sims to puzzle games, this year’s lineup has something for everyone who loves a laid-back gaming vibe. So, grab a warm cup of tea, and let’s delve deeper into 15 of the cutest and coziest games that are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face this year.
Wish Upon a Llama
Wish Upon a Llama should be in your 2025 cozy game Wishlist if you love animal collecting/raising games. You will be befriending adorable creatures like Capybaras, sheep, frogs, geese, llamas, and fish. Yes, there’s fishing! Woo Hoo! Your job as a rancher will get more exciting as you explore the countryside searching for adorable animals.
I am looking forward to the exploration part as the game features unique biomes, such as a procedurally generated forest area. Finding cute creatures in such areas will be a whole lot of fun.

The game also features breeding. Animals come in a variety of colors, patterns, and peculiarities. Breeding them will let you discover a whole new generation of creatures, as baby animals inherit unique traits from their parents.
Your wholesome adventure as a rancher doesn’t stop at only collecting animals. You will have to take them for a walk, give them toys, and snacks, pet them, and play games together. And if you want them to have their permanent homes, just explore the town to find people who are willing to adopt your furry friends.
Meeting new people is a welcome addition to the game. Each NPC has a unique personality and story. Find like-minded individuals who are up for adoption or explore romantic possibilities. Engage in fun activities, such as spelling bees, jump rope, cleaning drives, and much more! There are 20 “dateable” characters so romance is definitely in the cards! Not only your animal friends but even you can start your own family. Your kids will grow, go to school, and even help you raise pets on your ranch. Whoa! This is one wholesome sim game I am eagerly waiting for.
Discounty
Featured in Wholesome Direct, Discounty is a cozy management sim role-playing game. Managing a local store is just a glimpse of the larger gameplay. There’s much more than restocking shelves and working the checkout. You will also explore Blomkest and interact with the townsfolk, learning more about the rundown harbor town, its lore, and hidden secrets.

Not everyone in Blomkest will be friendly and not many will like your store to succeed. You must interact with the people, gain their trust, get into profitable trade deals with the local populace, and provide better regional specialty goods at attractive discounts to win their trust. Will you go after profits, defeat cut-throat competition or keep everyone happy? You can build friendships or make bitter enemies, the choice is yours!
The store management gameplay offers incredible depth. You can design and decorate your shop, organize shelves and products to keep the storage room neat, keep shelves stocked, call customers to keep them happy, reinvest your profits and grow. And once you are profitable, expand your store into a megamart and advertise it around Blomkest.

From the in-game screenshots shared by developer Crinkle Cut Games, it looks like Discounty has charming pixel art style with vibrant colors and well-defined details. The game employs a cozy, retro aesthetic that reminds me of of classic 16-bit games. The characters have expressive, simplistic designs, making them instantly recognizable. They also feature colorful and unique attire, which matches the colorful style of the environment.
Bao Bao’s Cozy Laundromat
Who doesn’t love pandas? Me? I just adore them. Bao Bao’s Cozy laundromat is a panda lovers’ dream game. A rags-to-riches story, this idle game revolves around our cute entrepreneur who has only 500 💰 to invest. Guide her journey from running a humble laundromat to building a thriving commercial laundry empire. You will be managing lots of colorful washing machines, hire lovable pandas to run the laundromat, add cozy decor and furniture to make your customers feel like home. The game has 10 lo-fi soundtracks to create a perfectly relaxing ambiance.

Bao Bao’s Cozy Laundromat should be on your Steam Wishlist if you are looking for a cozy game that can run in the background. It features a dock mode and can run at the bottom of your desktop without needing any interaction. The game will be released in the first quarter of 2025.
Vampire Rancher
Fans of dark cozy games rejoice! Vampire Rancher is the one to watch. The “Weird Wild West” awaits weary travelers, and as a rancher, you must manage the town during the day. Run shops and saloons, keep travelers happy, and tackle daily tasks like crafting and foraging. But when night falls, you turn into a vampire, finding your next victim, transforming into a bat, and turning humans into crops. Well, this isn’t the kind of farming I was looking for. Creepy af!

Feeding on travelers has one big advantage – you will get to learn new crafting recipes and tech. And guess what – you can also learn new abilities from the “essence” drawn from your human victims, like transforming into a bat and developing resistance to common vampire fiction tropes, such as garlic and sunlight.
The game will have tons of cozy quests. As a rancher, you can interact with unique NPCs, get to know their stories, and complete questlines to grow your skill tree. There’s also a “Vampire Council’s mission”, and I am quite excited and looking forward to such diverse missions. Vampire Rancher is a game like Stardew Valley, but with a creepy twist!
Whisper of the House
If you have played Unpacking, then you shouldn’t miss Whisper of the House. As the owner of a packers and movers company, your job is to help people move into their new homes, arrange furniture, decorate roome, organize and clean all rooms, and fulfill special requests that reflect your client’s unique personality. You will do all this with the help of a cute trusty robot.
The furniture arrangement part has its own challenges – you will be tasked to move and arrange delicate, expensive, and small items in the new home in small places and place unconventionally designed furniture at the right location to match with the room’s decor and ambience.

The game’s adorable pixel art graphics are unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. From the screenshots and the preview videos that I have seen, The bright colorful palette has a distinctive style. It’s like flipping through the pages of a comic book.

Whisper of the House goes beyond the room organizing/arrangement gameplay. The game is rich in storytelling. You will stumble upon deep dark secrets of your clients while moving their furniture to the new house. The game will also let you explore the town when you are in your free time, and even allow you to create and manage your own home, crafting a delightful personal space for yourself.
Tales of Seikyu
Tales of Seikyu is based on Japanese myths and legends. Your adventure will begin on the island of Seikyu, home to friendly Yokais and other extraordinary islanders. The fun part of gameplay is that you too can also transform into a magical Yokai to complete quests. As you progress, you will unlock different Yokai forms that will help you in your missions. Transform into a boar while farming, explore the skies as a crow, or go deep into the seas as a slime for hidden treasures.
Tales of Seikyu has all the ingredients of a cozy game. According to the game’s Steam page, players will be able to manage their homestead, raise animals, craft items and cook meals by learning new recipes. Besides using your Yokai powers to fight, explore, and farm, you will also be meeting new residents, each having their own unique stories. Among several residents, you will come across interesting characters and even get romantically engaged with one of them.

Tales of Seikyu captures the essence of a cozy game. Viisuals are straight from an artbook and the beautiful cel-shaded graphics have cozy aesthetics. You will be managing your homestead, caring for cute animals, crafting items, and cooking delicious meals as you discover new recipes to try. You will also be customizing your home with decorations. Beyond looking after your farm and exploring the world with your Yokai powers, you will meet new residents, each with their own charming stories. Among them, you may also even find a special someone to spark a romantic connection.
Ritual of Raven
Ritual of Raven is a story-rich, magical farming sim game. By “Magical” I mean spells and witchy stuff. And since it’s all about magic, farming will be as fun as waving a wand. There are something called “Arcana Constructs” that need to be collected to grow your herb garden. I am guessing these “Constructs” are some kind of tokens or cards that you will need to enchant seeds, water, and harvest your crops.

In Ritual of Raven, you fall into a portal, and meet a witch who thinks you are the chosen one to help in her quest. You also get a “familiar” raven by your side and with her help, you begin your search to find ingredients and spell knowledge to perform powerful rituals for your farm. On your quest, you will also help villagers fix their portals using your rituals and also meet new people to know their stories and even trade rare ingredients with them.

The game takes its witchy magic seriously. Much importance is given to moon phases, so you will need to take full advantage of the moon’s power and its effects on harvests to bring a change to your farm. Ritual of Raven is a must-wishlist game for cozy witchy game lovers.
Wanderstop
Another story-rich cozy game, Wanderstop revolves around managing a tea shop in a magical forest. You will serve enchanted tea to weary travelers. For brewing tea, you will need to grow ingredients, harvest them and, and then infuse all ingredients to make tea. As Travelers pass by, some will buy tea and may even blurt out their happy or sad stories.

When you are not serving tea, you can make use of your free time to clean and decorate your magical tea house. Wanderstop’s visuals are very charming and reminds me of Disney movies. The game releases on 11 March, 2025, so make sure you wishlist now!
Daomei Village
Daomei Village exudes a classic JRPG vibe. It’s a cozy pixelart game with a focus on farming and raising livestock. But there’s also lots of exploration and combat. The protagonist has been banished by the emporer and he must make every effort to survive in Damomei Village. Gaining the employer’s trust back is his main goal and so he needs to make the village his home, and do all the hard work, including fighting the emperor’s foes to free his territories from enemy occupation.

Daomei Village is an exile’ paradise, so you will meet residents who have a bad past. Take up quests to gain their trust and you will learn more about them, including their wrongdoings and the reason why the emperor banished them.
The game is based on Chinese folklore, so the overall gameplay experience will be very magical and feasty. You will be celebrating feasts with the villages as per the Chinese calendar. Daomei Village is set to launch in Q2 2025.
Sugardew Island
It’s one the cutest cozy farm sim games I am looking forward to! In Sugardew Island, you will be running your farm shop. There are also cute animals to take care of. You can build bonds with them, keep them as pets, or raise livestock to get resources. The game is designed for short play sessions and is touted to be the most relaxing game of 2025.

The game is focused more on farming, so if you are looking for a farming sim game with cozy game aesthetics, you should wishlist it ASAP!
One Move Away
It’s a physics-based first-person puzzle game focused on packing and unpacking furniture. Much of your packing revolves around how you put all your belongings into your car’s trunk. Moving out can be quite a chore and One Move Away highlights this issue quite well. Like Unpacking, the game explores different timelines, and the storylines are beautifully interconnected, evoking a nostalgic and emotional feeling every time you move to a new place.

According to developers at Ramage games, the item stacking puzzles are quite relaxing and there’s no fixed way of loading your items into the car. It can be messed up or just put away neatly. The no-pressure gameplay, coupled with intuitive controls is what makes it truly relaxing and simple. The game has a minimalist art style with gentle gradients and vibrant yet muted tomes that contribute to a laidback atmosphere. I would say it’s a game made for lazy Sunday afternoons. If you love placement puzzle games, then you should wishlist One Move Away.
Spirit Swap

An LGBTQ-friendly game, Spirit Swap is a narrative-driven cozy match-3 puzzle game with multiple endings. Set in the world of witchy demons, the game lets you cast powerful spells in match-3 puzzle sessions. It lets you bond with fellow witches and has different game modes including match-3 puzzle battles with friends and endless mode. Much hasn’t been revealed about this game, but you can play its demo version to learn more about gameplay and characters. Spirit Swap is set to launch on Feb 3, 2025.
Sunkissed City
Sunkissed City should be in your cozy game Wishlist if you are looking for a game like Stardew Valley. It’s an open-world life sim, where you start a new life in Apollo City, a big place packed with tons of activities, socializing, and exploration. You will take care of “DIY Gardens”, make new friends, learn skills, enjoy farming, and give your own home a personal touch with furniture pieces, flooring, and wallpapers. One of the core gameplay features is meeting unique and quirky characters, with the option to explore a touch of romance along the way.

The USP of this game is its online split-screen multiplayer co-op game modes that lets you enjoy the game with family and friends. The game has endless character customization options, allowing you to completely reinvent yourself with unique dressing styles, and hundreds of color combos and matching patterns.
Tales of the Shire
Tales of the Shire, one of this year’s most anticipated cozy games, is now scheduled to launch on March 25, 2025. Fans were disappointed when the release was postponed last year, but the wait is almost over. Set in JRR Tolkien’s Middle-earth, the game focuses on the life and adventures of hobbits.

You play as a hobbit, exploring the idyllic corner of the Middle Earth. You will also engage in farming, cooking, fishing, and questing. You will also be meeting other hobbits and familiar faces from the LoTR universe. The game’s hand-drawn storybook style graphics reminds me of illustrations straight from a kid’s pop-up book. The game will not only be available for PC, but also, PS5 and Nintendo Switch. Can’t Wait!
